With our newly implemented map search, you view all of our listings on a map of Chicago or map any of our individual listings to get a better understanding of a listing’s location, appearance and neighborhood. Powered by Google Maps, the new search tool lets you zoom in on an area of Chicago on the map, see what’s in that area and also see the listings available. By rolling your mouse over the listing, you get a quick overview of the price, a picture and other basic facts.
From there you can click to the individual listing’s page for more information, pictures and the agent to contact to view it in person. Or you can switch to “Street View” and see live images of the home and street. You can also modify on the interactive map search, so that you only see homes that fit you needs displayed on the map.
When viewing an individual listing via our standard Chicago home search, you can map a property once you have already found one that suits your requirements. If you’ve searched for a 3 bed, 2 bath home within your price range and are looking at one of our available listings with that criteria, you can click the “Map This Property” feature to see its exact location and surroundings in a pop-up window. The map will also allow you to “Street View” the listing, so that you can see the home in its actual surroundings.
For those relocating to Chicago real estate, it is a particularly unique and helpful tool. You can search by map in neighborhoods you are interested in, and see their proximity to your new job, potential schools in the area and public transit lines. The comprehensive data compiled by Google is repurposed for our clients who are starting their Chicago home search online.
