Boystown vegetarian staple Chicago Diner will be celebrating its 27th year in business throughout this week. Each day has a different sandwich-and-drink special for about $8, and they will delight herbivores and carnivores alike! The diner carries organic wines and local beers to match their healthy fare.
Newly opened this week is Aldino’s, an authentic Italian eatery in the Little Italy/University Village area. The new restaurant has a dining room for a sit-down dinner of Italian comfort food, as well as a more casual, market-like area serving sandwiches, salads and pizzas.

The team behind Aldino’s has also been responsible for Chicago successes like 312 Chicago and the Mia Francesca chain, and they expect that 80% of their new eatery’s ingredients will be sourced from a 100-mile radius.
