Trick or Treat! This weekend is Halloween! There are so many fun events going on in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs that it took a lot of research to bring you the best of the best, so check out this edition of What’s Up in Chicago – we don’t think many of you will be staying at home in your Chicago condos this weekend with all the fun events and activities going on.
Events:
The city of Chicago is getting into the Halloween spirit – at the Daley Plaza now through the 30th, stop by and pick up your pumpkins, participate in arts and crafts, and see the Midnight Circus perform. Bonus – admission is free!
The kids will love being part of the annual North Halsted Halloween Parade. Festivities start at 4pm and the parade at 6pm, so grab your best costume and join the fun.
Head over to the 63rd Beach house for 10 spooky scenes spread across two levels, and then head outside to the pumpkin patch to pick your pumpkin. Admission is only $7.
For the adults, one of the most terrifying haunted houses in Chicago is the Chronicles of the Cursed. Experience it for yourself for only $20.
In the suburbs, Melrose Park hosts one of the best haunted houses. Dream Reapers features over 20 rooms of frightening fun. Tickets are $16.
If you are looking for a relaxing evening away from Halloween antics, check out the newest Streeterville spot, The Atrium Wine Bar.
What’s Halloween without watching scary movies?
Grab your friends and family and rent some of the classics, like Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, or The Amityville Horror.
If you’d rather head to the theater, the blood curdling horror Saw VI is now playing at theaters nationwide.
Have an excellent weekend and a Happy Halloween!
