Halloween is quickly approaching and Chicago celebrates the spooky holiday like no other city, so there are plenty of special events this weekend and the next, along with Fashion Focus 2009 and lots of exciting activities. Events
Hop aboard a bus and tour the haunted houses of Chicago, with a beer stop in between at Mahoney’s Pub & Grill. Tour is this weekend starting at 6pm and tickets are $35.
Love Champagne? The Drake Hotel is hosting Tour de Champagne, where you can sample bubbly from more than 20 vineyards paired with tastes from nearly 20 local restaurants, tickets are $115- $150.
Get out of your Chicago condo and grab the family and go to Hallow Fest at Chicago Botanic Garden and ride the ghost train, decorate pumpkins, and more.

Wingfest is going on Rockit Bar & Grill in the lovely River North neighborhood – nosh on five styles of wings for only $10 per dozen.
Have lunch this Saturday with Chef Jim Kilberg in Hinsdale at Il Poggiolo as he shows you how to prepare a 6 course Italian meal. Tickets are $85 and you must RSVP.
Don’t cook in your Chicago condo – have a night out and try Fame da Lupo this weekend. They serve great and affordable pasta dishes and pizza, and it is BYOB.
Movies
Paranormal Activity is said to be one of the scariest movies ever, so if you are a fan of horror flicks and you haven’t seen it yet, it is the ideal pre-Halloween fare.
Action movie Law Abiding Citizen staring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler looks exciting – you can watch the trailer here.
