Chicago Condos in Lincoln Park: View of Downtown Chicago from Lincoln Park

On the North side of Chicago, you’ll find Lincoln Park, a trendy neighborhood noted for its beautiful trees and parks. Lincoln Park real estate is very popular with twenty-somethings, young professionals and young families. Streets packed with restaurants and bars come together with quieter residential streets in the neighborhood. So, whether you’re planning to buy or rent, Lincoln Park real estate can cater to your needs.

One of the most popular attractions in Lincoln Park is the Lincoln Park Zoo which covers 35 acres and houses over 1,200 animals. The zoo is popular among families in the area, especially those with small children. They have two different areas for kids: the Pritzker Family Children’s Zoo which includes a play area for little ones, and the John Deere Farm-in-the-Zoo, which introduces kids to farm animals and includes a petting zoo. At the South end of the Zoo is the Lincoln Park Lagoon where you can rent paddle boats and paddle your heart out. Lincoln Park Zoo is also home to Cafe Brauer, an elegant event space that overlooks the Lagoon. Cafe Brauer is often used to host wedding receptions and corporate events and can accommodate up to 500 guests.

At the other end of Lincoln Park is Depaul University, one of the country’s top Catholic universities. Depaul’s presence greatly contributes to the atmosphere of Lincoln Park as a hot spot for college students and young professionals. Often college students will rent Licoln Park apartments and stay once they’ve graduated. Because of its young demographic, Lincoln Park has a large number of bars and a bustling nightlife.

Lincoln Park is full of things to do. There are many unique shops and high-end boutiques where you can find practically anything, from jewelry to shoes to vacuum cleaners. If you’re not in the mood for shopping you can visit one of the area’s art galleries or museums, like the Contemporary Art Workshop or the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. When you get hungry the options are endless. Lincoln Park has everything from humble burger joints to upscale, gourmet restaurants. From breakfast to bedtime, Lincoln Park truly has something for everyone.
