Born and raised in Nebraska, Jim came to Chicago real estate in the mid 1990s with Heartland values, a passion for excellence and a full portfolio of customer service skills. He grew up in a family of builders and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration. Out of college, he worked in the call center management/customer service industry, providing third-party customer service and marketing support for premier companies such as AT&T, Costco, American Express, Allstate and GE.
But sawdust was in his blood, and when a Chicago condo developer who had sold Jim a unit began recruiting him to join his sales team, Jim followed his passion. He left the customer service industry behind and, since 1997, has developed an expertise in urban real estate that brings unparalleled service to buyers, sellers and developers.
Jim first worked with one of Chicago ’s largest north-side builders, before joining another real estate company in 2007. In August of 2008, he joined the new Jameson and has assembled a team who assist him with his individual brokerage clients and developments. Developers come to him for his expertise in new construction sales and marketing, land acquisition, design and project cost/profit analysis. Private clients appreciate his attention to detail, knowledge and calming personality.
Recently recognized by Chicago Agent Magazine as a “Who’s Who” in the Chicago real estate community and Top Producer for Chicago Association of Realtors 2010 and 2011. Jim, with his wife and 2 small children, cherish the lifestyle that is presented to them by living and working in Lincoln Park/Old Town/Lakeview. It is this passion that Jim has brought to his real estate business the last 13 years. Jim brings to sellers his competence in social media and Internet skills, as well as his consistent focus on new, creative ways to market a listing. He brings to buyers a keen desire to understand their needs, help them understand the “market at the moment,” and formulate their ideas, thereby matching them up with the property that is absolutely perfect for them.
