Jameson Realty Group:
CHARLES HUZENIS HONORED WITH ARTHUR RUBLOFF HUMANITARIANISM AWARD

CHICAGO-Charles Huzenis, president of Jameson Realty Group, will be honored on November 27th at the Arthur Rubloff Humanitarianism Award dinner sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League (AD).

The awards dinner to recognize Huzenis' contributions to humanitarianism will be held at the Drake Hotel.

The AD Arthur Rubloff Humanitarianism Award has been established to recognize individuals in the real estate industry who demonstrate exceptional commitment to philanthropy, and who regard responsibility for the well-being of the community as among the most cherished rights and privileges of citizenship.

According to the AD, Charles Huzenis embodies the American dream and the importance of giving back. The son of Holocaust survivors (his father was the sole survivor of 13 children), his parents married after the war and moved to Chicago.

When Huzenis was 10 years old his family experienced difficulties that prompted he and his brother, Harry, to be placed in the Freund Unit of the Jewish Children's Bureau, which was home to 25 boys. Charley lived there for nine years and still keeps in touch with a couple of the counselors to whom he credits some of his future success.

Established in 1982 by Charles and Harry Huzenis, Jameson Realty Group is a full-service real estate organization with offices in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. Jameson Realty has unparalleled experience in developer representation and has marketed more than $1 billion in multi-family residential projects since 1991.

During his career, Charley has been responsible for overseeing $14 billion in real estate sales.

Today, the Huzenis brothers say their approach to real estate is to help clients make informed decisions by providing them with straightforward information about property values, market conditions and transaction costs.

Jameson Realty has enjoyed tremendous growth and currently has more than 125 real estate agents and employees in the organization. Their 20,000-square-foot facility, located in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood at 425 W. North Avenue, houses a sales and management team that includes specialists in both residential and commercial real estate.

The real estate brokerage company currently is marketing more than 30 new-construction residential and condominium conversion developments in Chicago. Over the past 25 years, the Huzenis brothers have greatly expanded the neighborhood residential brokerage company into a successful new-development and commercial real estate powerhouse in Chicago.

In 2006, Jameson Realty Group posted more than $600 million in new-development, residential resale and commercial transaction sales in 2006 as the company continues its growth as one of the leading privately owned real estate firms Chicago.

Jameson Realty Group has become one of the city's foremost representatives of developers of both new construction and renovation projects. The company has been responsible for successfully marketing over 300 projects in the last 13 years.

One of Jameson Development's most successful projects is the 39-story 50 East Chestnut, a new 34-unit boutique condominium high-rise at the northeast corner of Chestnut and Rush streets just west of Michigan Avenue's "Magnificent Mile."

Huzenis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Northern Illinois University in 1974. He is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors, Lincoln Park Builders Club, a Director of First Commercial Bank in Chicago, and is a Board Member of Chicago City Day School.

In 2005, he was honored by the State of Israel Bonds and was also a recipient of the Lincoln Park Builders Impact Award.

According to the AD, the organization is "proud to bestow its Arthur Rubloff Humanitarism Award upon this dynamic and accomplished executive for his remarkable achievement in both the corporate and philanthropic communities."
